The Arts Council of Temecula Valley is a community-based organization dedicated to enriching arts and culture in and around the Temecula Valley. This is accomplished by supplying tools, resources and advocacy to stimulate the growth of the visual and performing arts, and to provide opportunities for arts education in schools and in communities.
The Arts Council serves as the umbrella organization under which a network of arts and cultural organizations cultivate, support, promote and preserve the visual and performing arts. The Arts Council is devoted to the development, presentation and preservation of the visual and performing arts and to serving as a resource for local arts and cultural organizations as well as local visual and performing artists. The Arts Council is also committed to developing innovative programs and events, and to forming meaningful partnerships with other cultural, educational and business entities in the greater Temecula Valley area.
The Arts Council of Temecula Valley was founded and incorporated as a 501(c)(3) California charitable non-profit corporation in 1989 (Tax ID number: 33-0364524), and was designated as the lead arts organization by the City of Temecula in September 1996.
In January 1999, the City of Temecula adopted the City’s Cultural Arts Master Plan and identified several goals and objectives to encourage participation, education and enjoyment of the arts. At that time, The Arts Council of Temecula Valley was awarded the contract to implement the City's Cultural Arts Master Plan. The contract has been renewed annually.
